About

the Chef

Hi friend, thanks for stopping by! I'm Rebekah, or as my colleagues affectionately call me, Chef Bex.

I believe that even the simplest things in life should be celebrated in simple ways, but some occasions just call for the extravagant.

I specialize in gourmet wedding cakes, but I'm also available to make desserts for birthdays, graduations, bridal showers, baby showers...you name it! I can help you elevate both your everyday celebrations and once-in-a-lifetime events.

What sets me apart...

As a professionally trained chef, I understand the science of baking and flavor. Every recipe I use is crafted to ensure the best tasting, best quality product possible. I make everything completely from scratch -- no mixes, preservatives, fillers, or other unpronounceable ingredients. You should never have to feel guilty about having your cake, and eating it too!

My Mission...

I make cakes because I'm passionate about my art, and I want to share that passion with others. I believe that you shouldn't have to pay twice as much for the exact same service, just because you tack the word "wedding" onto it. I keep my prices affordable because I want every bride, no matter her budget, to have her dream cake!

The Rest of the Story...

I graduated with top honors from Arizona Culinary Institute in 2013 with a diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking & Restaurant Management. In 2015 I was chosen to return to ACI for a Baking & Pastry Fellowship, where I honed my decorating skills under one of the most well-renowned pastry chefs in the industry. I have worked as a senior line cook in several fine dining restaurants, and as a baker and decorator in two different award winning bakeries. In early 2019, my husband and I made our permanent home in Augusta, Georgia, and I'm excited to focus full time on practicing my art in this beautiful city!

I love yoga, hiking, waterfalls, organizing things, gardening, traveling, wine tasting, classical music, quilting, summer fruits, winter scarves, and thunderstorms. But mostly I love my husband Jon, who puts up with all my experiments and kitchen messes, and even cleans up after some of them for me!
